Version: 1.6.2 (using KDE KDE 3.5.6) Installed from: Compiled From Sources Compiler: g++ (GCC) 4.1.2 (Ubuntu 4.1.2-0ubuntu4) OS: Linux I am trying to change the Units from centimeters to inches (actually anything) using the Page Layout dialog (Format | Page Layout). Whatever I select changes in the dialog but not the rest of the program, including the Page Layout dialog when I return to it. I can change the rulers using right-click and select. That value is persistent throughout the program (including the Page Layout dialog). I created an empty presentation, changed the units to inches in Page Layout (rulers didn't change). I saved the file, unzipped it, looked in settings.xml and found the units were still "cm". Since this is not a show-stopper (meaning that there is a work around) I would give it low priority, but the ladies in my office will definitely call me when they try to create presentations and can't use the dialog, no matter how many times I tell them to use the right-click technique ;-s
The dialog in 2.x doesn't show the units. The call to enable the units to be shown is missing in the code, I guess. The method is KoPageLayoutWidget::showUnitchooser(bool). If KPresenter is using the KoPageLayoutDialog then a similar method should be added there (which just calls the one on the widget).
