Description DragonK 2007-05-31 08:00:09 UTC
Version: 3.4.1 (using KDE 3.5.7, Gentoo)
Compiler: Target: i686-pc-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.19-morph7-grsec

When editing a file (any kind) in kdevelop and you go to the first line and press ENTER, the text doesn't scroll down. A new line is inserted, indeed, but it is inserted above the visible text, while the first line and the rest of the text stay in position.
This behaviour is a little confusing and not very standard, imho.

Right, but this is a problem in Kate, the editor, not in KDevelop. Re-Assigning as it can be reproduced easily with plain Kate.

This bug is the same as bug #146300 . Since that one has a bit more info added to it in comments, I'm marking this report as a duplicate of that, instead of the other way around, even though this one is two days older, technically.
