I have Slackware-current after upgrade to KDE 3.5.7 loses the klaptop battery monitor.

error message:

kded: WARNING: [KDEDModule* Kded::loadModule(const KService*, bool)] Could not load library. [ /usr/lib/kde3/kded_klaptopdaemon.so: undefined symbol: XScreenSaverQueryExtension ]

Also Mandriva users report this problem.
