Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.7) Installed from: Mandriva RPMs Mandriva Bugreport: http://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=17747 Ark currently cannot compress anything bigger than my /tmp folder could handle. Thus Ark is to often useless for me, eg.: tar: /tmp/kde-trawiarz/arkTnDuYF/temp_tarswBiSH/sYHoqb.tar: Only 4096 bytes out of 10240 bytes were written tar: Unrecoverable error: end (my free translation from Polish!) It is not wise that /tmp is always forced. We usually have much more free space in our home partitions than in the root partition, don't we? And the user should be allowed to use the temp folder od his preference. Thanks, Maciek
