Description m.wege 2007-05-27 08:28:01 UTC
Version: 3.5.7 (using KDE 3.5.7, Kubuntu (feisty) 4:3.5.7-0ubuntu1~feisty2)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.20-15-generic

It seems like Firefox is going to have a new bookmarkmanagement called Places which will be release with Firefox 3.0. It is going to run with an external database. Since I am using both browsers it would be a great chance to integrate the bookmarkmanagement of both browsers when KDE4 is released. Since FF3.0 is not released yet there may be a chance for Konqui devs to make some agreements with Mozilla devs, e.g. that the database is not stored in the mozilla dictionary.

Firefox 3.0 was released a long time ago, so perhaps this issue should be closed. It seems to be asking for integration of Firefox bookmarks with Konqueror which doesn't seem possible, although it would be nice.

I don't see why this should not be possible in a technical sense. I may be rather a problem of manpower. So I do not understand why you like it to be closed. Many wishes are open for an even longer time.

It just seemed a late to do this as Firefox 3.x is not likely to make massive changes like that so the work would be on KDE's side. But I love the idea of more integration between browsers. I'll vote for it. :-)
