I have one local account, one POP and one IMAP account configured in kmail.  If kmail is running when I start a vpnc connection, then the IMAP-account will hang when attempting to retrieve e-mails. It is not possible to cancel either, and kmail(kontact) must be restarted. Usually, it is only the main folder that becomes inaccessible, but sometimes all the sub-folders becomes inaccessible too.  The other accounts still work. The same problem arise when I disconnect vpnc.

I have tried to create a new user without any previous ~/.kde folder to see if the problem still exists, and it does. 

The vpnc-connection uses the option UDP Encapsulate
