Description Manuel Rodriguez 2007-05-19 21:55:39 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

amarok supports DAAP, which can only be used to connect to iTunes. Furthermore is DAAP no open protocol. UPnP is open and is already used by a lot of Hardware and Software. There are UPnP clients and servers for Linux. I would really like to see amarok support UPnP, as a client would be great, as a server even better.

Currently no one is willing to implement this... so if you're willing to do it ;-)
Comment 2 Bart Cerneels 2009-09-29 10:12:02 UTC
I'm working on it. Have a dev-sprint this weekend in fact.

This is currently subject of a GSoC project, expect some news this fall.
