Version: 0.9.4a (using KDE KDE 3.5.5) Compiler: Target: i686-pc-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.20-gentoo-r4-20070330 When using the KMplayer KPart with MPlayer as the backend, being able to seek (or toggle fullscreen mode) using the keyboard is a matter of luck. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. That's not a big problem when doing small seeks (the left and right arrow keys) since I prefer the scroll wheel for those, but it's a pain for large seeks (up and down arrow keys) since MPlayer doesn't optimize for multi-click movements of the scroll wheel. My guess is that sometimes, KMplayer consumes all the keyboard input. If that's the case, can't KMplayer duplicate any unrecognized keystrokes and send them to the embedded MPlayer instance?
I confirm the same problem here. gentoo linux x64 kde 4.5.4, kmplayer 0.11.2c The problem is now appearring more and more often.
Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been stagnant for a long time. Could you help us out and re-test if the bug is valid in the latest version? I am setting the status to NEEDSINFO pending your response, please change the Status back to REPORTED when you respond. Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone!
Still a problem with KMPlayer 0.11.3d (KDE 4.13.3) (I won't have time to upgrade off Kubuntu 14.04 LTS until early 2019) I don't use KMPlayer anymore, so I don't have enough experience to know whether MPlayer keyboard shortcuts still work intermittently but, in my testing, they didn't work. That means that, with MPlayer defining ← and → as "Seek back/forward 10 seconds" (the defaults), KMPlayer does nothing when I press those keys with the MPlayer backend selected, even after I click the video frame to ensure it's focused.
Thank you for reporting this issue in KDE software. As it has been a while since this issue was reported, can we please ask you to see if you can reproduce the issue with a recent software version? If you can reproduce the issue, please change the status to "REPORTED" when replying. Thank you!

I suspect this to still be a problem, given how much else never gets resolved, but I don't use KMplayer anymore and I'm too busy preparing for Christmas to go out of my way to comply with a "test this now or have it WORKSFORME'd" ultimatum, so let KMplayer bit-rot, I guess.
