Version: 0.9.4a (using KDE KDE 3.5.5) Compiler: Target: i686-pc-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.20-gentoo-r4-20070330 As the title says, The KMplayer KPart breaks the advance feature in "use a single medium" mode with the "Media Screen Saver". I don't normally use the media screensaver, but I thought I'd report the bug anyway since nobody else seems to have done so.
I think you should contact "Media Screen Saver" (whatever that is btw.)
It's a screensaver provided by either kscreensaver or one of it's supplemental packs (I'm not entirely sure beyond the fact that it's part of the core KDE stuff) which uses KParts to display a slideshow of the user's media files. (The internal shorthand name is "kpartsaver") However, I'm pretty sure it's a KMplayer problem since it's the only KPart which causes the slideshow to get stuck on a single piece of media. (In KMplayer's case, the screensaver doesn't advance to the next video clip) "Use a single medium mode" is the alternative to "Pick a different KPart every X seconds" mode, and since it's not using the KMplayer playlist, I can only assume that it's expecting an "I'm done" signal from KMplayer which never comes.

Created attachment 116332 [details] Steps to reproduce Still a problem in KDE 4.13.3. (The version I'll be on until I can find time to upgrade off Kubuntu 14.04 LTS in early 2019) The attached image details how to quickly and reliably reproduce the problem, but the gist of it is that, if I try to have Media Screen Saver play a sequence of video files (eg. audio-less drone footage) that get handled by the KMPlayer KPart, it'll just play one video then get stuck on a blank screen. With any other KPart I've tested, it works as expected.
Thank you for reporting this issue in KDE software. As it has been a while since this issue was reported, can we please ask you to see if you can reproduce the issue with a recent software version? If you can reproduce the issue, please change the status to "REPORTED" when replying. Thank you!

I don't use KMplayer anymore and I'm too busy preparing for Christmas to go out of my way to comply with a "test this now or have it WORKSFORME'd" ultimatum, so let KMplayer bit-rot, I guess.
