Description Olivier 2007-05-14 16:52:24 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Sometimes, you receive zip files which have been created with Windows applications (Quick-Zip, WinZip, ...).

When those files include windows style filenames (foo\bar.txt), you cannot open them using Ark ("Ark: filename not matched: "foo\bar.txt" ") though you can still open files with no directory in their pathname ("bar2.txt" works, "foo\bar.txt" doesn't).

It would be very useful to have an Ark configuration file allowing customization of software used to open a given type of archive file.

I couldn't find anything in Ark online documentation.

Regards

It would be very helpful if you could upload one of these archives here so I
can test if it works now with kde4 ark.

Marking this as a duplicate because I already wrote more in the other thread,
and there is an example file there as well.
