Description Elián Hanisch 2007-05-04 03:48:27 UTC
Version: 1.6.2 (using KDE 3.5.6, Kubuntu (feisty) 4:3.5.6-0ubuntu14)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.20-15-generic

Hi
I was using krita with the window maximized, I tried to restore it by hitting the "restore button" in the title bar and the system just froze, only the mouse cursor responded but clicking around was useless, either the keyboard worked, I had to reset the computer.
This only happens when I'm working at 1280x1024 resolution, 5 of 6 times that I tried to restore the window to its custom size the system froze, at 1024x768 I couldn't reproduce this bug.

krita 1.6.2 (from kubuntu feisty repositories)
kde 3.5.6
kubuntu feisty

I cannot reproduce it -- but there are many variables that can play a role
here, like the window manager you are using, the window decoration, the depth
of your screen or whether you are using the opengl option or not.

I have been toying around with those options, I found the bug only occurred when I was using 1280x1024, window transparencies and the opengl option. I reproduced it many times, and then the bug disappeared.

I believe that the system ran a fsck after so many reboots, and that probably solved the problem. I'm marking this as resolved.

Thanks for taking the time to test around!
