Version: 0.12.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux Having both blue heads and status icons in the kopete contact list is unnecessary - I think the interface would be cleaner if these two icons were amalgamated. This would also allow more contacts to be viewable at once. I wider issue is that the contact list's appearance isn't particularly configurable. I love the rest of Kopete (and KDE) for being able to make everything look how I want, and this extends even to the chat window and smiley themes, so it would seem logical that I would be able to customise just what information is visible in the contact list. So although the immediate issue is a repetition of information, for me the ideal solution would be to extend configurability such that the user can determine which pieces of information he wants displayed. I have seen this done very nicely with some kind of XHTML subset, offering maximum power, but that could be overkill.
Fixed in trunk (SVN commit 946606) will be in KDE 4.3
