Version:           2.0.6 (using KDE 3.5.6, Gentoo)
Compiler:          Target: i586-pc-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.20-sabayon-r3

Every button press exept numebers turns display to "0".
Ex: 2 * or + or - or whatever else (turns display to 0 and clear all)

To sum up kcalc is not usable at all.

Packet emerged and recompiled from gentoo repos.

Checked.

You were right... just rebuilt kcalc with SCIM installed and everything 
works fine.
