Version:           0.1.4 (using KDE 3.5.6, Kubuntu (edgy) 4:3.5.6-0ubuntu1~edgy1)
Compiler:          Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.17-11-386

When slideshow is started as a plugin from digikam it should display the images in the same order as they are displayed in digikam. If I have set digikam to sort images by date and start slideshow it should also display the images sorted by date, and not by filename.

Yes, this is known issue and should be addressed for 0.9.2
