Version: 0.8.1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.6) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Steps to reproduce: 1. Open dolphin and browse to a folder with files in it 2. If the sidebar isn't currently displayed press F9 to toggle it on or click View->Sidebar 3. Make sure the sidebar is set to "Bookmarks" and not "Information" 4. The sidebar should now display Home, Storage Media, Network, Root, and Trash 5. Try to drag a file to the Trash can in the side bar 6. Watch this fail (the cursor changes to to the X this action not allowed icon)
I would also like to be able to drag files to any bookmarks I have in the sidebar. For example, in my sidebar i have bookmarks for my "music" and "movies" folders, and I'd love to be able to easily move things there from whichever folder i'm browsing in the right pane. Thanks. rod.
We'll support drag & drop for the bookmarks sidebar in KDE 4 :-) Best regards, Peter
Fixed by using KFilePlacesView from Kevin Ottens (is also used for the file open/save dialog). Best regards, Peter
Although this is older and got apparently (?) fixed before the other issue was even created, I am rather certain this is a duplicate and marking it accordingly. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 154014 ***
