Description Narendra Kadoo 2007-03-01 14:36:39 UTC
Version: 2.0 (using KDE 3.5.5, Kubuntu (edgy) 4:3.5.5-0ubuntu3.1)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.17-11-generic

Minutes become hours in the "Monitor power saving" after reboot.

I set the "Switch off monitor after:" to 3 minutes. It works fine for the session. But if I reboot, the 3 minutes become 3 hours!! I also tried setting it 2 minutes and it became 2 hours after reboot!! In both cases, after reboot, found the monitor ON for >45 minutes.

Using Kubuntu 6.10 on Compaq M2002AL laptop.

This is happening to my system also. Monitor standby is set to 2 minutes, it works fine after a full reboot but if the system is put to sleep then woken up the monitors never enter standby (I didn't wait the 2 or 3 hours like the poster above).

Ubuntu 12.04

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug. Kcontrol has been replaced by System Settings in Plasma. Please give the latest version of that a try, and open a new bug in "systemsettings" if you continue to have an issue. Thank you!
