Version: 1.4.5 (using KDE KDE 3.5.6) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux For a long time, I've had a collection that I browse via an NFS mount. Amarok support for this has gotten better and better with time, which is cool. However, I still can't really add new stuff to my collection via Amarok easily, since it's on a read-only NFS mount (which I don't want to change). It would be neat if I could specify alternate ways to add files to my collection, via rsync or scp to some remote host, or fish, or whatever. Ideally with stream support, if I'm playing mp3s of the web! Cool?!?
Sorry to see that your wish has been left unanswered, I have opened a similar but more specific wish for Amarok 2.x here: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=165469
