It would be nice if one could choose the screen which shall be used to display digikams slideshow.

What for? Slideshow should use full screen, period.

If one is using a multihead desktop (through Xinerama etc.) it is very useful if one is able to select the screen on which the slideshow is placed. That way one will have a fullscreen slideshow but only on one screen.

Fixed with bug #257313
