Description Antonio C. 2007-02-03 17:57:47 UTC
Version: 0.9.0 (using KDE 3.5.6 "release 19.1" , openSUSE )
Compiler: Target: x86_64-suse-linux
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.18.2-34-default

I have 3000 photos in 200 folders. Digikam reads everything without problems, but if I add to a file avi with the following characteristics, it is hung (crash).
----------
#> file eclipse.avi
eclipse.avi: RIFF (little-endian) data, AVI, 180 x 132, ~15 fps, video:
#>
-------

Codec de video: MSVC
Codec de audio: none

I would suspect that this is the same bug as
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=149267
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=145497
which has beeen fixed.

Could you try with
- Exiv2 0.15
- libkexiv2 0.1.5
- digiKam 0.9.2 (or from svn)
and report back?

Since digiKam 5.2.0, we use QtAV framework to handle video files and this kind of problem is not reproducile.
