Description raditzman 2007-02-02 08:53:08 UTC
Version: 1.9.5 (using KDE 3.5.5, Debian Package 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-5 (4.0))
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.18-3-k7

as. - i use the portuguese version of kmail, so I don't know all the correct terms.

If I have bad settings in my sending account (smtp) and try sending a message, obviously the message stays in "to send", for a long time, until it eventually complains it couldn't be sent, and asks if I want to try and send the next one.

This is the wrong way to do it, because if I happen to correct the settings to the right one after noticing the message isn't sending properly, then I don't know they are right, until that error message appears and the *next* message is correctly sent.

The solution should be this: Everytime the settings are changed, the e-mails which are trying to be sent but are lagging are sent with the new settings (or not only those that are lagging, but immediatly all of them), this way I can test efficiently my sending account settings without having to wait an eternity for each message failed.

I hope I make myself understand correctly. Please ask me more if I'm not clear.

GREAT WORK GUYS with kmail, btw!!!!

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
