Version: 1.9.5 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5) Installed from: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux When emails with attachments arrives to kmail (under kontact) on Fedora core 5, there is no listing of the attachment at all. The emails arrived from a person sending from Microsoft Outlook. The only way to see that there are attachment, you must press on "view source". Then Kmail places the attachment back to the list. The Kontact version is 1.2.3 and the Kmail version is 1.9.5 .
I forgot to mention that the server is IMAP using Zimbra version ZCS 3.1 Another note is that the same server is also sending the email when using the Outlook.
What is your setting for "Load attachments on demand" ? you may want a) to uncheck this or b) open the mail (double click) at least this worked for me.
The first option of uncecking the "Load attachments on demand" in did worked. The second option worked as well. So can I change it to a request for feature that the above option will not be checked by default ?
It's a (duplicate) bug in imap. Have to look for the bug number.
if not stated elsewhere: if attachments loading on demand = ON IMHO kmail * should download the attachment prior to ** openening the attachment ** forwarding the mail * for performance on slow lines: should eventually cache the attachments and the mail like mailody - (loading each time is fine for on 100 Mb local networks.) * should NOT download the attachment ** for reply ** prior to delete
Might be related to bug 136557 and bug 126555.
Is this still an issue in KDE 4.3?
