Version: 3.5.5 (using KDE 3.5.5, Debian Package 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-5 (4.0)) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.18-1-686 I have a monthly reminder that has been working for years, but I tried to set up a daily reminder several times and it seems to work once and then not any more after that. If you look at the calendar, it seems to have lots of reminders posted at the top of the days, but nothing happens.
Daily recurring To Do List reminders will not work either by suspending the reminder for 24 hours or by asking the reminder to have a daily recurrence and the monthly reminder that pops up could be set to suspend for a number of days or hours previously but it is not longer working. It came up exactly once and did not suspend.
I selected and deleted the non-fuctioning To Do items referred to above and now ALL of my tasks are gone.
I tried installing kalarm to use instead, and that crashes. I wonder if the cause of both the problem with kalarm and the problem with korganizer are the same.
SVN commit 932770 by smartins: Alarm interval was converted to minutes when read, but not converted back to seconds when written. Thanks to Lars who spotted this. Comment from 182426: Version: 4.2 rc1 (using 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0) "release 83.1", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.1) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27.7-9-default In the KOrganizer's To-do list, recurring To-dos do not remind each time before the recurring time is reached, but only once before the "Due" time of the entry is reached. Recurring To-dos seem to suffere a little bit of design problems, but this I would call a bug. I would expect that reminders of recurring To-dos (and events) would act each time according to the recurrence interval defined by default (or as a default option, allowing to switch to one-time reminders, but this would be a wishlist entry). The same problem was already reported for KDE3: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=140551

(In reply to comment #7) > *** Bug 149729 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Version: (using KDE Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources OS: Linux I set-up a "To-Do" task to remind myself that I have to pay the rent at the end of each month (e.i. the due date is always a few day before the end of the month). Of course it is a recurring to-do, since I have to pay the rent every month :-). But sometimes I just suspend the alarm by 1-2 days because I am pretty busy doing other things. In the case that I suspend the alarm so far that it falls behind the "due-date", than the alarm is not triggered anymore. I the To-Do list the entry appear red (most probably because I haven't finished it by the due-date), but I would expect that the alarm still appears even if it beyond the due-date.
This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of korgac (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
