Description BORGULYA Gábor 2007-01-21 13:07:33 UTC
Version: 1.4 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

When I display large DVI files kdvi often waits a lot when I turn pages or when it calculates the page previews of the sidebar. On the gkrellm2 processor monitor I always see that only one procesor is used.

I am pretty sure that at least rendering the pages and rendering the previews could run on separate processors. Ideally the work of rendering a single page would be devided among the CPUs.

So I wish kdvi used all the processors while rendering the DVI image.

kdvi is no longer maintained since KDE SC 4, and its functionality is replace by okular. If the issue in this report still exists in or apply to okular in KDE SC 4.10.5 or higher, please reassign the report to okular product or create a new report against okular.
