Description Ferdinand Gassauer 2007-01-16 09:26:26 UTC
Version: 1.9.5 (using KDE 3.5.5 "release 50.1" , openSUSE )
Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.18.2-34-default

Hi!
I have configured kmail to use the companies mail server and "send immediately".

Sometimes the mails are not sent but stored without warning (!) in the local "outgoing mail" folder.

Starting the send process manually sends the mails, but does NOT transfer theses mails to the imap account as defined in the settings and what happens normally.

looking in the local "sent mail" folder I found these manually sent mails, but also some empty mails see picture.
theses mails can be deleted.

Still a problem in recent kmail?
Comment 3 Ferdinand Gassauer 2010-01-02 05:38:07 UTC
yes KDE 4.3.4 KMail 1.12.4
IMHO this happens if the connection to the server is (temporary) not available
currently this happend using a very slow WIFI connection in a hotel and KNemo reported a short (~10 sec) disconnection which otherwise would not be evident at all.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
