Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5) Installed from: Unspecified I was looking for a word game or puzzle for KDE that my mom could play, and I was supprised to see that there wasn't really anything in the Ubuntu repository (I use Kubuntu). I looked on kde-apps.org, and there was very little. There were only like two word games, and I couldn't get either of them to compile correctly. Even after looking at happypenguin.org, I still couldn't find anything that would satisify her. I think that, at least for KDE 4, there should be a very nice, high quality word game. I don't know anything about coding, except for a (very) little Java, so I wouldn't be able to write it myself. If someone could write a nice word game (either a clone of something like BookWorm/BeSpelled or an original) that could be great. :)

For your information: - We have a new game in the playground area of KDE4 that is based on Scrabble : Kombination. Playground games need time and approvals to reach one day the main game module. See: http://techbase.kde.org/Policies/SVN_Guidelines - We already have some word games in the KDE Edu module like Kanagram and KHangMan. But of course, we miss a game like Bookworm. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bookworm_(game)
Hey Josh! You can even try out kde edu games like pairs ,kletters, blinken etc. http://edu.kde.org/applications/preschool/ cheers!
I guess we can close this report due to being too old to be relevant. Please Josh reopen if you still feel you lack a word game and precise which sort.
