Version: 1.2.2 (using KDE 3.5.5, compiled sources) Compiler: gcc version 3.4.4 [FreeBSD] 20050518 OS: FreeBSD (i386) release 6.2-RC2 I'd like to see Smart Card based security enhancements in KGpg and ability to use Smart Card for encryption and signing documents/files, maybe even replace manual authentification for KDE.

I think this feature belongs into gpg, pinentry or pam.
Hmm, if I'm not mistaken, gpg essentially supports smart cards and may even support pkcs11, though not officially (see http://zvrba.net/software/gpg_pkcs11.html ); pam also - but KGpg?
But essentially this feature may depend on general approach discussed in bug 116201.
