Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux There seems to be no way to programmatically detect when the user is trying to eject a CD or DVD, so that I can stop a process accessing the disk. I do get a refresh signal from KDirLister, however after looking closely at the related KFileItem, I don't see any indication of the user (me) trying to eject the disk. Please let me know if I missed something, or if there is no way to detect an eject attempt, then it is a bug, because I cannot know when to stop the process accessing the disk, and so the disk does not eject on user request. If you need more details, please let me know.
Moving from "kio/kfile" component to "kfile" product, helps sorting out duplicates.
Is this still relevant or applicable in KDE Frameworks 5?
