Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5) Installed from: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux I'll just describe the way i often use amarok: I first think of an artist I'd like to hear. So i click in collection tab and write the name in the search box. I then expand the view to see all albums. Then I'm looking for some particulary good songs on a particular album. So I have to switch to flat view, where I have added a column rating. But the flat view is not so nice. I would prefer to see for each song in the collection view in "transparent" behind the song title the ratings. It could be done using the same colors as the stars in the playlist for exemple. The next thing would be to give also the not expanded albums a color, so I would see at a glance, what are the "good" albums, ie the albums containg the good songs. what do you think? highelf
Created attachment 19072 [details] a quick&dirty idea of how it could look like. look at the collection browser and discover the stars. either half transparent (I agree it's difficult to read the song name) or left next to the song name. Also notice the Album rating (not existing at the moment). Ju
you can view the ratings in flat mode by enabling the rating column. Doesn't show up for the tree view. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 133797 ***
That's not the same! Wanted are ratings in tree mode, not in flat mode!
That's right. We "wish" the rating in tree mode. I agree it's not easy, or maybe not wished to be done soon, but why close the wish with a "wrong" answer? Or does "Doesn't shop up pfor the tree view" means it will never ever be there ? I don't like having to switch to the flat view, when looking for good songs of an album. greetings, Ju

Unlikely to have this appear, as you can already sort by rating in the collection browser
