Description Giuseppe Bilotta 2006-12-17 01:10:23 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

Currently, kmailcvt allows import of the folder mail structure from The Bat!, which is a very nice thing. However, for completeness (and to ease the transition) KMail should also be able to import the address book, and the account settings. Finally, The Bat! also allows users to attach notes to mail folders; I don't know if KMail has any similar feature, but if so it would be nice if the notes could be imported too.

- For the address book: file a bug against kaddressbook
- For import notes and settings: reassign bug against component general

The current job of kmailcvt is only: import mails and nothing more.

comment #1 is correct. kmailcvt only imports messages.

The safest way for contacts is to export them to a generic file (eg vcf) and import them in kaddressbook
