Description Maciej Pilichowski 2006-12-13 21:53:53 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Please, use only tab key. Using arrow-key is really annoying, it is so often I fall-off from the text to mail to/from/subject fields.

I like the arrow keys very much, and they will stay.
Comment 2 Maciej Pilichowski 2009-08-23 21:03:47 UTC
Thomas, I understand "I like it" part, but my point is it is usability abuse. Two-fold: KDE does not work in fall-off mode, second, even at theoretical level of UI design such thing should not happen, because it leads to fragile UI (i.e. from user POV).

More reading: infinite space (and apple menu).

IMHO we should aim at consistent, robust UI, not personal preferences. If you don't agree with me, I think this report should be reopened, and new report for KDE posted to provide fall-off mode in KDE (so all apps would behave the same for users who like such mode).

But now, Composer is simply exception. Thank you for reading, I hope you will reconsider.
