Description Leon Mergen 2006-12-10 21:25:21 UTC
Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages
OS:                Linux

When changing the default quotation indicator from '>%_' to '%f>_', it does not get recognized as a quotation mark when replying to an emal message. The following two screenshots should explain it pretty well:

http://www.solatis.com/kmail1.png (default, proper)
http://www.solatis.com/kmail2.png (alternate, messed up)

As you can see, two things happen:
* the quoted lines do not get colorized;
* but worse, the long line wraps mess up and quotation looks all ugly now.

Comment 2 Andrew O. Shadoura 2007-07-29 10:00:06 UTC
More, double quotation look much worser:
 JFD> JFD> some text
 JFD> some another text
While should be:
 JFD>> some text
 JFD> some another text

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
