Description Dik Takken 2006-12-09 16:39:45 UTC
Version: 0.1.0_rc1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

When using the calendar plugin and printing to a PDF or Postscript file, the output quality is very, very low. The pixels in the images are huge, estimated resolution is about 400x300 pixels.

In case of PDF output, the resolution is the same and the image is highly compressed also. Severe JPEG compression artifacts are the result.

When creating a normal print preview, a 70 MB postscript file is generated, which looks much better. It takes 10 minutes to render it on the screen...

Same thing here, still present.
PS resolution viewed on screen has severe pixeling effects above 100% zoom level! / same effect on printing.

However, even the preview is already scrambled.

Dik,

This file still valid using kipi-plugins 0.1.6 ?

I guess this is not valid anymore. We had used the QPrinter::HighResolution in later kipiplugin releases.
Now the calendar wizard also has an option to set the resolution manually.
