Version: Unbekannt (using KDE 3.5.5, Gentoo) Compiler: gcc version 3.4.6 (Gentoo 3.4.6-r1, ssp-3.4.5-1.0, pie-8.7.9) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.18-suspend2 Steps to reproduce: Create a mail or search for a mail containing a "TO:" header line like the following: "John Doe" <john.doe@example.com> Now use quicksearch above the message list window and type "example". Kmail does not show you the message, although the to-header-line contains "example". If you type "Doe", it will show you the message. Expected behaviour: Kmail should search the whole header text regardsless of if it is a mail address or a name enclosed in quotes.
I can see that considering the domain is useful if e.g. one wants to find all mails sent by customers employed by a certain company. But please do not consider the .com or .net as that would just lead to more entries in the message list than necessary, or the user having to type more characters just to get any subject that includes "net"(work) but not all emails from *.net.
