Description Robert 2006-12-04 16:37:28 UTC
Version: 1.9.5 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
Compiler: gcc-4.1.1-30
OS: Linux

Ill get the error Crypto plug-in "openpgp" could not decrypt the data, Error: Decryption failed, when i try to open encrypted messages (even from myself) with k-mail 1.9.5 on Fedora 6. Accordingly to K-mail even the openGpg backend is working properly. This is a K-mail problem because if i save the encrypted message to a file and decryptes it in the console i get it decrypted.

Confirmed for 1.9.6 (compiled from source; r661635).

I get the same errors in 1.9.6 installed from 3.5.6-0ubuntu6
I can also decrypt the saved message on the console.

Hello,

I had the same problem. See bug http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92619, this is a known issue and can be solved either by using gpg-agent, or (and hopefully) by adapting and applying the patch I posted on that bug report...

Use your votes to make it clear that this issue needs to be fixed (it's there since 2004!).
