I don't know if kmail is buggy here or amarok. But I can save attachment and play it, but I cannot directly play it from kmail+amarok ("open" in kmail).

Can you provide an exact explanation of what happens when you try to play the file? Could this bug be related to bug 135152?

Amarok starts, but "empty". No, I doubt it is related to bug you mentioned.

Hard to say, .doc file works (both KWord and OOWriter). On the other hand amarok behaviour was like it was no file.

Pretty sure this is a dupe of that other bug, and I have an analysis (see the other bug report)
