Version: 1.6.0 (using KDE 3.5.5 "release 19.1" , openSUSE ) Compiler: Target: x86_64-suse-linux OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.16.21-0.25-default Use case: clean-up/rotate of a newspaper-article-jpeg taken with digital camera, so that there is high black/white contrast Steps to reproduce: 1. load jpeg 2. fumble contrast curve to high-contrast (hard black-and-white for good readability) 3. rotate pic 90 deg clock-wise 4. pic is now blurred, the fonts have grey smears as if there is a blur filter added! Expected: 4. pixels are unchanged in case of exact 90 / 180 / 270 deg. rotations. ------- Btw: 2. there should be an extra, easy GUI with just two sliders for contrast and brightness. That gives faster workflow than the (more flexible, but harder to use) curve editor. -- Preview pics in filter previews are not too useful in icon size, but in 1:1 preview the whole large image is rendered. I would like a fast preview rendering in 1:1 pixel of just small clip, maybe center-of-image, by default.

Created attachment 18715 [details] after-90-deg-rotation: with ugly blurs on font corners
Transform bugs are for Casper.
Could you please add wishlist items to bugzilla for your feature brightness/contrast feature request? The filter preview will be rewritten for 2.0 anyway, so it is not necessary to add a request for that.
@bould: done, see Bug 138009
