Description Scott Couston 2006-11-26 12:30:14 UTC
Version: 3.5.1 (using KDE 3.5.1 Level "a" , SUSE 10.1)
Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.16.21-0.25-smp

If I perform a search for files or contents using any wildcard conventions this fails when the option 'include subfolders' is NOT selected. The current directory is NOT searched when wild card conventions * a and ? are used. This also applies to a text file that is opened in Konqueror.

In KDE 3.5.5, SUSE Linux 10.1 (regardless of the state of 'include subfolders') wildcards for file content always fail BUT wildcards for file names always work. Weird...

Here using KDE SC 4.5trunk:
- With "include subfolders" unselect
- Searching for files Named "*" (or containing "*" and "?")
Searching works, all the files are listed.

Searching for file contains doesn't work when using wildcards
