Description Grace 2006-11-22 03:17:50 UTC
Version: 2.5.2 (using KDE 3.5.2, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.2-0ubuntu18 dapper)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-23-386

During coding, Kate allows us to collapse the code of other functions to allow ease of reading. However, after collapsing the code of some other function, the highlight that comes from selection of a block of text within the editor does not function properly. In particular, if you select one block of text (by dragging and holding down the right mouse button), the highlighted selection should disappear if you click within the editor after making the selection AND it should also disappear if you go on to make another selection. However, this behavior does not happen in the current version of KATE from Kubuntu Dapper Drake 6.06 LTS even after package update.

that's true. Selection and bracket highlighting does not work at all, if above code is folded - very broken...

This is a duplicate of bug #139578, which is fixed.
Comment 3 Dominik Haumann 2007-05-28 04:03:53 UTC
