Sounds like a configuration problem - you might like to ask on one of your distro's support channels. Does it work if you set the environment variable KDE_NO_IPV6=1 ?
No it also doesn't work with this variable... The same error. Ok, I'll try to ask gentoo's support channels.
So did the support channel help you ? Does the problem still exist for you in the recent KDE 4.3.1 version ?
