Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5) Installed from: Gentoo Packages Compiler: gcc 4.1.1 OS: Linux The DCOP function void setVolume(int v) of KsCD can set a volume less than 0% and greater than 100%. These values are at least shown in the display in the main window. The real volume of the sound output is not affected. Means if the display shows a value > 100% then the real volume stays at 100% and if the display shows a value < 0% then the real volume stays at 0%. This behaviour can be a bit distempering (is it the right word? - Sorry but my English is still not the best. ;-) ) in conjunction with lirc. I'm not using IRKick. Instead I'm using dcop in the file .lircrc. To set the volume I'm not using the DCOP functions volumeUp and volumeDown but the following commands: dcop kscd CDPlayer setVolume $((`dcop kscd CDPlayer getVolume` + 1)) dcop kscd CDPlayer setVolume $((`dcop kscd CDPlayer getVolume` - 1)) So I can change the volume in 1% steps instead of 5% steps. It would be great if the volume which is set by void setVolume(int v) could be checked and set to 0% if v is less than 0 and set to 100% if v is greater than 100.
