Description Pierre Ossman 2006-11-10 10:18:44 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

When using a custom made application menu (by having the relevant .menu files in ~/.config), associations are no longer configurable. The GUI lets me select a new application and behaves like everything is peachy. But when I click "OK" and then open it again, my changes are gone.

The problem does not appear as long as you do not have your own custom menu.

This kbuildsycoca bug was finally fixed in December 2008. Please upgrade to KDE-4.2.
