Description Oliver Jusinger 2006-11-05 11:17:22 UTC
Version: 1.9.5 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

If the identity name contains a pipe "|", blank characters before and after the pipe are removed when sending the mail.
The sender name is correct in the sent-folder, however at the recipient the from-line in the header doesn't contain the blanks any more. the problem doesn't occur with other mail clients, so it's not a problem of the mailserver.

Example:
Identity name: "name surename | mycompany"

Mailheader source at the recipient:
"name surename|mycompany"

can not reproduce with kmail/KDE4.3
Comment 2 Oliver Jusinger 2009-08-04 15:42:24 UTC
It seems to have been fixed at least for KDE 4.x. It works with my kmail/KDE 4.2.4, thx.
