Description Alf Eaton 2006-10-30 11:16:05 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

At the moment, the only way to get a link to Google Music Search is to click the name of a Related Artist in the context browser, and for that artist to not be in your library.

The Google Music Search link should be available at all times: for the currently playing artist and for artists already in your library. A good place would be a 'Links for $CURRENT_ARTIST' block below the 'Related Artists' block.

Actually I was mistaken, the link does show up when you have an artist in your library as well. Would still be nice to get a link for the currently playing artist though.

I was able to get this to work quite well using a plugin that writes to the ContextBrowser pane, though it's a bit flaky: if the ContextBrowser window is rewritten the added box is lost.

Sounds like a perfect task for a script, made much easier with the new scripting interface in Amarok 2.
