Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.4) Installed from: FreeBSD Ports OS: FreeBSD when receiving an email with a large binary attachment on a remote IMAP account, kmail behaves in a rather clumsy way. first it takes a minute and a half to load the message index because kmail loads the whole message. then it displays a message with an earlier timestamp first. then it reloads the message with the large attachment again just to display a one line email with a mp3 attachment. we're not through yet ... the email or the mp3 itself needs to be downloaded off the IMAP server. roughly five minutes are wasted "downloading message data".
oh i forgot, when replying to such a one line email while the mail is still on the IMAP server, kmail wants to download the whole message data again, just to have one line of text in quote.
You are refering to different bugs which already have been reported. As far as I oversee it, they all have been fixed. If I'm wrong, please report back.
