Version: 1.13 (using KDE 3.5.2, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.2-0ubuntu18.1 dapper) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-27-386 the file or folder /wav/track 01.wav" does not exist from brand new miles davis cd bought in the store. basically kaudiocreator doesnt work at all.
Hi, can you describe please more in detail the problem? Thanks!
I put a cd into the drive. Then I opened Kaudiocreator. The program finds the name of all the files and album correctly. So I select all or one of the tracks Then I push the rip selection button. After that it takes less than 5 seconds and I see error dialogues with the folder /wav/track 01.wav does not exist. The encoder setting is Ogg for this issue. But it doesnt matter if I select any others because they all report the same exact errors. -RB [bugs.kde.org quoted mail] _________________________________________________________________ Get today's hot entertainment gossip http://movies.msn.com/movies/hotgossip?icid=T002MSN03A07001
Could you try updating to at least kdemultimedia-3.5.3 and see if that fixes the problem? I was able to reproduce it with 3.5.2 but when I updated the audiocd-kioslave to 3.5.3 the problem disappeared.
Everytime I attempt to upgrade kde the installer crashes for that. Gotta love it [bugs.kde.org quoted mail] _________________________________________________________________ Try the next generation of search with Windows Live Search today! http://imagine-windowslive.com/minisites/searchlaunch/?locale=en-us&source=hmtagline
I have this same problem with Kaudiocreator version1.2.81 in Kubuntu Lucid Lynx 9.10 with KDE 4.4.2. It makes kaudiocreator useless. Does this suffice to confirm and increase the importance of the problem?
Looking at the code producing this I can think there is a problem. Somehow it worked for me. Does it work when disabling automatic cddb lookup in audiocd? I try to find a fix.
I tried it without auto CDDB lookup. It still fails, but the message is different. Now it says Acces denied. Could not write to /1_-Track 1_LCUa0V.wav.part. Don't know if that helps... Thanks for looking at it tho.
Can you please try with the current svn in extragear?
Can you please try current svn in extragear?
Sorry, I don't know what "current svn in extragear" refers to. Neither svn, nor extragear.
Install subversion (or svn) Checkout with svn co svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/trunk/extragear/multimedia/kaudiocreator Building is equal to tarball.
Is current git working for you?
