Description Eike Welk 2006-10-15 22:36:35 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

The kio slave for the "fish" protocol should return better error messages.

In my concrete problem the ssh host key of a server had changed because a new operating system had be installed. Ssh would now refuse to establish a connection and instead demand that the host key be removed or updated. The fish protocol in Konqueror did therfore not work.

However Konqueror did only show a generic error message that did not hint at the cause of the problem. Konqueror should display better error messages in such cases.
