Description Fergal Daly 2006-09-25 23:37:56 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

This wish is related to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107302. It's not a duplicate, it's a feature request that assumes that other wish has been fulfilled.

If I can associate desktops to screens. I'd like to also be able to switch focus from 1 screen to another with a hotkey. Pressing the hotkey would be similar to pressing ctrl-tab but my disply wouldn't change much.

Say I'm on the left screen. Hitting the hotkey, the mouse would move from the left screen to the right screen. X focus would switch from a window on the left screen to the last focused window on the right screen (just as happens switching desktops). Now hitting alt-tab would cycle through windows on the right screen etc etc.

It should be possible to choose whether I have 6 2-screen desktops or 6 + 6 1-screen desktops. That is, it should be possible to choose whether ctrl-tab cycles changes left and right simultaneously or whether it just changes the desktop on the screen that has focus.

Done for KDE4.
