Description Michiel de Bruijne 2006-09-23 11:25:52 UTC
Version: 0.9.0-beta1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

In the slideshow there are two transitions; 2D and 3D (OpenGL). I like them both and my system is capable of handling both transitions. DigiKam however only allows me to select either 2D or 3D. My request is to be able to select them both so a slideshow has more variation. Thanks!

Btw; in the GUI there is some inconsistency; "SlideShow", "slideshow" "Slide Show". I think it looks better if only one variant is used.

This report is rather old. The "Slideshow" string inconsistencies should be fixed. For the rest I'm not sure why to mix this?
Maybe slideshow had fewer effects in the past, but right now 2D and 3D should be quite similar.

Is this report still valid?

Hi Gilles,

The transitions in version 2.4.1 are different in 2D/3D mode and cannot be combined so users cannot use all transitions in a slideshow.

Best regards,
Michiel.

Technically, 2D and 3D effect do not use same back-end. Typically 3D effect use OpenGL. We cannot mix both while same presentation.
