Version: 1.9.2 (using KDE KDE 3.5.4) OS: Linux KMail deleted the 400+ emails I had in my inbox.... after having crashed for the 3rd time today. It was a disconnected imap. It was also probably related to the fact that it was bogging down my machine while check email and that I cancelled it, and it crashed. All in all, in 13 years, it is a first time a mail client scrap my mail box like that, and I'm not happy at all.
Possible dupe of http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104956 , sorry for your loss :|
courier IMAP is what I have on the other side. and the server is not close (ie at home on top of the DSL line) and not fast (a PII 266MHz)
I just had the exact same bug, I just lost all my emails. Disconnected IMAP (imap.free.fr). Kmail didn't crash but my wireless connection regularly goes on and off. When it went back on, all my emails were gone for ever ! Everything looks like this bug : http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104956 I though the bug had been fixed since version 1.8 ?
