Version:           1.6 beta 1 (using KDE 3.5.4, compiled sources)
Compiler:          Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.16-ck12

In test document font of "Default" style is changed to bold and italic Arial. Document is created with OOo Calc. When opened in KSpread, font of the "Default" style is bold and italic, but "Verdana" (default font of the KSpread in this installation).

Is the Arial font generally available in KSpread on your system (could you choose it in the font combo)?
